The seven rowers … mill around King’s Front Court stamping and blowing under the sombre, ghostly gaze of Henry VI
It feels like the only change here in three centuries was the addition of an electric lamp about a hundred years ago.
The rest of the group gingerly crests the steep arc of the bridge — the newest crossing on this stretch of the river.
